Terms of service
The rules for using Beni, in plain words.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are between knil ltd, Israel ("Benigo", "we", "us") and the company or organisation that uses Beni ("you"). Beni is our AI coworker in Slack, in Microsoft Teams and at app.benigo.com (together, "the service").
If you accept these terms for a company, you confirm you are allowed to do so. Beni is for business use. It is not for consumers or for anyone under 16.
If you have a signed agreement with us, that agreement wins where it differs from these terms.
2. Pilot
Beni is in a pilot. Features change often, some are marked "rolling out" or "planned" on our Security page, and the service may be unavailable at times. We give no uptime commitment during the pilot.
3. Your accounts and your admins
- You are responsible for who in your company can use Beni, and for keeping access to your Slack, Teams or app.benigo.com accounts secure.
- Your admins can install and remove Beni, turn memory off for channels, and see usage and the audit log.
- Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone has misused your account.
4. Your content
- Your messages, files and the work Beni produces for you ("your content") belong to you.
- You give us permission to process your content only to run the service for you: to answer, remember what you asked, make files, post reminders and keep the service secure.
- We don't sell your content, use it for ads, or use it to train AI models. Our Privacy policy explains what we keep and for how long.
- You must have the right to share the content you give Beni, including other people's personal data.
5. AI output
- Beni uses AI (Claude, from Anthropic, through its API). Its answers, summaries and files can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check anything important before you rely on it or send it to someone.
- Don't use Beni alone to make decisions with legal, medical, financial, employment or similar effects on people. A person must review those.
- Similar requests from other customers can get similar answers. Output is not guaranteed to be unique.
6. Actions in your apps
When you connect an app, Beni can act in it with the access you choose. Beni asks for approval before writing to a shared tool, unless you or your admin chose "always allow" for that action. Actions you approve or allow are your actions. You are responsible for them, as if you had done them yourself.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use Beni to:
- break the law or someone else's rights, including privacy and intellectual property;
- send spam, malware or phishing, or harass anyone;
- get into systems or data you are not allowed to access, or test our security without following the rules on our Security page;
- overload, reverse-engineer or get around the limits of the service;
- do anything the usage policies of our AI provider (Anthropic) or of Slack or Microsoft forbid.
We may suspend use that breaks these rules or puts other customers at risk. We will tell you why, unless the law or safety prevents it.
8. Slack, Teams and other platforms
Slack, Microsoft Teams and the apps you connect are run by other companies under their own terms. Your use of them is between you and them. We are not responsible for their availability or changes. If a platform changes its rules, we may have to change or stop a feature.
9. Credits and fees
- Beni runs on credits. Each request uses credits based on the work done. Our Pricing page shows the current plan, what is included and how credits work.
- Prices and credit packs are shown on benigo.com/pricing. Credits are prepaid. Unused purchased credits can be refunded on request within 14 days of purchase. Taxes are added where the law requires.
- We will not charge you for anything you have not agreed to in writing or on the Pricing page.
10. Ending the service
- You can stop at any time by uninstalling Beni or writing to us.
- We can end the service for you with 30 days' notice, or right away if you seriously break these terms.
- After the service ends, we delete your data as our Privacy policy says. Ask us before then if you want an export.
11. Our responsibility
- We run the service with reasonable care and skill. Apart from that, the service is provided "as is", as far as the law allows.
- Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data that could have been backed up.
- Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We post the new version here and change the date. For a change that matters, we tell your admins at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Beni after that, the new terms apply.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Israel. Disputes go to the courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffo. Before going to court, write to us and we will try to sort it out together.
